Concrete Radar Scanning
Scan concrete slabs and walls to produce accurate, structural imaging.
Over the past several years we have been asked to complete a number of projects to locate rebar, tension cables, structural beams and utilities embedded within concrete slabs at airports and other facilities.
GP8000 Concrete Mapping GPR
While using our larger ground penetrating radar equipment on a 1,000 mhz antennae does provide images of rebar and other structures within the concrete, it is too large for most concrete applications and cannot provide the detail that the concrete scanning radar equipment provides. We have rented the smaller concrete scanning equipment, but the cost of rental and shipping is not cost effective for most projects.
Now using our new concrete scanning equipment, we scan concrete slabs and walls to produce images without the dangers associated with x-ray equipment. The concrete radar scanning equipment allows us to accurately “see” the rebar, post tension cables, electrical and communications conduit, and voids within or underneath the slab or wall.
To serve our clients better and provide more detailed information to contractors, engineers, concrete cutting companies, our radar scanning equipment has the capability download the information in “real-time” to our customers providing the valuable information they need to analyze and make decisions regarding the structural integrity of the concrete slab or wall.
